SEPTEMBER 20, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

SEPTEMBER 20 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: Revelation 1:4-8

God does not tell us everything...but He does tell us everything He wants us to know. He is the perfect God, Father, Teacher, Savior! We Christians have been given a very special set of writings from God. The Scriptures are from God Himself and reveal His heart and His intent for we who are His children. Because of His great love for us we do not have to fear the future...either in eternity or even here on earth. Our God has got this all under control...He has secured the end even before there was a beginning. In His grace and mercy and because of His great love for us...He has told us the future, so that we would have no fear.

It is true this world is spiraling downward. The Scripture tells us it would be so. Every day, more and more it seems that everything is turned around and what was once evil is celebrated as good and what was once good is seen as evil by the world. We are told in the Bible it would be this way. It seems that even the hearts of professing Christians have grown cold to the truth of God...once again we were told these days would come. People in churches are following "teachers" who tell them what they want to hear, that condone ungodly lifestyles, that pacify the carnality of people in the church...it was prophesied that this would happen. It has gotten so bad, it has caused us to wonder, where is this all headed? God is not surprised as to where this world has gone, or even how much farther it will go away from Him. We are not to be consumed by worry; we are to continue to walk as the salt and the light, filled with the Holy Spirit, remaining faithful to the Lord and His Word, regardless of where the world goes. We need to be reminded that God has got this...read the Book all the way to the end...and when you do you will find the joy of being God's child, secure in Him...knowing that He holds eternity and He holds us!
