MARCH 19 READING…NUMBERS 27 & JOHN 9
Today’s theme is that the Lord gives clarity to those with faith in Him, and He blinds those who refuse to see Him. In Numbers, the Lord instructed Moses to command the people concerning the law of inheritance…in order that the land may be kept in perpetuity with the tribe and family it was assigned to. The Lord also gives clarity concerning the man who would follow Moses, and lead the Israelites into the land of promise…this man was Joshua. In John 9, Jesus heals a man born blind on the Sabbath…the man’s sight is restored. The man clearly sees who Jesus is…but the religious leaders were so blinded by their man made traditions, that they could not see the true identity of Jesus. He did not fit into their narrow religious paradigm. Physical sight was just the beginning for this healed man…he would also receive spiritual sight. While the religious leaders would remain spiritually blind. Let the Scripture and the Holy Spirit open your eyes to the reality of Jesus…be careful of religiosity, it may just blind you and keep you from seeing Jesus.
