JULY 3, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

JULY 3 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-7

We Christians stand tallest when we are on our knees. It is the primary place where change begins to happen...first for us, then for the world around us. We need to stay on our knees until the Lord tells us to get up. And He will do just that. There was a time in Joshua's life when the people had sinned, Joshua fell on his knees before God and cried out. The Lord said to Joshua, "Why are you calling out to me, get up and cleanse the camp, for there is sin in it." When we pray we need to be willing to get up and obey the Lord!

Our nation is in dire straits, with many unable to see how things will get better. And you know what, they may not. But until that day when the Lord calls us home we must pray...we must speak out His truth...we must stand in His righteousness alone. As we pray and speak and stand. God works through us to change the world. There must be intent on our part to move ahead in the Lord and see Him do His great work. He has chosen to use us for His great purpose, it is incumbent upon us to be responsible and act in him.
