JULY 24, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

JULY 24 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: HEBREWS 12:2

When it comes to faith, it's all about Jesus! Faith is not just believing something hard enough in hopes that you can make something happen. Faith is a gift from God and it is found, like everything else God gives us, in Jesus! The writer of Hebrews tells us that Jesus is, "the Author and Finisher of our faith." Where does faith originate? In Jesus... He establishes our faith...it doesn't come from us, it comes from Him." The Bible says, "Every good and perfect gift comes to us from the Father...in whom there is no shadow of turning." Everything we will ever have...everything we will ever hold...everything, is a gift from God and it comes to us through Jesus, who is the "Author" of our faith.

Jesus is also the finisher, or the One who completes our faith. Have you ever thought that you didn't know if you could hold on to the end? Well it's not you and me who are holding on...it is Jesus who is holding onto to us. We are in the Lord's hand and there is nobody who can take us out of His hand. There is nothing that can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus. We can be assured that, He who began a good work in us, is faithful to complete it. Our faith is completed in and by Christ Jesus...He starts it and He will finish it. For He is THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH! So we need to keep looking to Him...looking only to Him!
