FEBRUARY 23 READING…MARK 12
It always amazes me how some people vehemently reject the truth of God’s Word, yet think they are right with God…impossible! Jesus told a parable of wicked workers in the vineyard. The owner sent people to lead them, and to speak the desire of the owner. Rather than receive the messages or the messengers, they rejected the message and killed the messengers. Somehow they had convinced themselves that this would be okay, or at least they would get away with it. The religious leaders around Jesus knew He was speaking of them, and in their hatred, they attempted to trap Him, so they could convict Him, and ultimately kill Him. They had murder in their hearts, because they hated God, while in their self delusion believing they were serving God. Jesus warned the people of these evil men draped in their religiosity. We have those today that hate God…they hate His Word…they have murder in their hearts, which comes out of their attacking tongues. Do not fear them, fear God…trust and follow Him regardless of who else does or doesn’t.
