SEPTEMBER 28, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

SEPTEMBER 28 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

That which makes we followers of Jesus most effective in His Kingdom work is when we spend time with Him. In the Book of Acts the religious people were somewhat astounded at the things the disciples were saying and doing, after all these were merely fishermen. All they could say about these incredible followers of Jesus was, "these are those who spend time with Jesus.” It really is amazing what spending time with Jesus can do for us...it really is amazing what spending time with Jesus can enable us to do. Whatever, or whoever has your time...has your heart! And Jesus wants to have your heart, so that He can pour into your life all the wonderful things that God has for you.

Spending time with Jesus is crucial. It is how we really get to know Him. It is where we begin to recognize His voice in our lives. We discover what is really important to Him. We get to know his heart and we get to experience His very presence changing our hearts. With Jesus we are refreshed and renewed...which is crucial if we are going to be effective in ministering to others. In Jesus we literally have all we need to be all that we were created to be...and it is in our time with Him, that we come to realize this. As we spend time with Jesus, we will want to spend even more time with Him, because we will come to realize that He is life itself to us. As you go about your day today...don't leave Jesus behind...don't neglect your time with Him...realize that time spent with your Savior is never wasted time!
