SEPTEMBER 26, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

SEPTEMBER 26 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: James 1:5-8

Don't you think it is incredible that the Creator of the universe...the One who made all there is cares intimately about you and me? The individual and intimate love and care of Almighty God for you and me ought to blow our socks off! Who are we that God should be concerned about us at all...but He is. He cares about everything that goes on in our lives. He cares about all the big things and all the little things. To Him we are important and there is nothing in our lives that is beyond His care or concern. To me that is incredible!

We who are children of God, only need to ask of our Heavenly Father and He will provide. As a matter of fact, because of His great love and care for us, the Scripture says, "He knows what we need even before we ask." His care is not limited to our ability to ask or knowing what to ask. Paul says this, "Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, more than we could ever ask or imagine..." We have a great God who is actively showing His love toward us every day and in ways we cannot even imagine. What a great God! For you and me though, I hope we have such a relationship with Him that it's not all about just asking God for things. It is true we are told we can ask...and He will provide. I hope that we will understand that our relationship with God is not about getting things...but about having a relationship with Him. To know and experience God is the greatest gift that He has given us. In that gift of knowing Him, all the other blessings of God flow!
