OCTOBER 7, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

OCTOBER 7 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31

Jesus declared that He is "the Way, the Truth and the Life...no one can come to the Father except by Me” (John 14:6). Because of who Jesus is and what Jesus did, He can make such a claim. He is not one of many ways...He is the Way, there is no salvation apart from Him! He is not a just a teller of the truth...He is the Truth and apart from Him truth does not exist! He does not just give life...He is our Life and apart from Him we are dead!  What Jesus did on the cross made this all possible for those who believe in Him.

We were dead in our sins...the Holy Spirit touched our hearts and brought us to the Way, Jesus. He then revealed to us that Jesus is the Truth for us concerning God, salvation, eternal life and all things. Finally, He brought us to a place of casting off our old selves that were dead and bringing us to new life in Jesus. God in His great love for us did all this in and through His Son, Jesus. What will it take from you in order to know and have all the things Christ came to give you? You must receive Him, you must believe in Him, you must repent and trust in Him as your Lord and Savior. The Lord has done everything needed for yours and my salvation...now won't you call upon His Name and receive His salvation?
