OCTOBER 25 READING…HEBREWS 11
“Without faith it is impossible to please God…”. Faith is our response to God’s initiative. God always moves first…we show faith by responding to how God is moving in our lives and in our world. We cannot please God by refusing to respond to Him. In our readings we have a long list of those who responded to God, showed their faith, and were blessed because they did. From Abel to Noah…from Abraham to Moses…from Rahab to those precious martyrs, who gave up all because of their faith (the world was not worthy of them). There are those who would tell you that faith is a step into the darkness and trusting God…I believe faith is never a step into darkness, but faith is a step into the light. Though we don’t know what is going to happen to us when we respond to God in faith, we are assured that He is with us…that is more than enough. God loves us enormously…He is good all the time…and He will take care of us as we follow Him, in this world and in eternity. There is no other walk I would rather take than the walk of faith…for I know as I do, I am never alone.
Please share your thoughts.
