OCTOBER 12, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

OCTOBER 12 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: Colossians 1:9-18

Oh what a wonderful thing that God does when He touches a life and creates them anew in and through His Son, Jesus. If you are born again...you are a new creation in Christ. Everything old has passed away, behold you have been made new. When we are saved the Lord does not just patch up the old person, He creates us as new. God does not just put a spiritual Band-Aid on us...he recreates us. As the first creation is a miracle of God...so is what He does when He creates us as new in His Son.

This change is so dramatic that we have gone from death into life. We, who were estranged from God, now have a real relationship with Him. We could not know Him...hear Him...comprehend Him...follow Him, until by His great power He made us new. This creative work of God in us completely changes who we are and enables us to know and follow God. It is His miracle working power that makes us into the very children of God and gives us eternal life. Now, He calls us to walk daily, moment by moment, as the new creation that He has made us.
