NOVEMBER 9 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: HABAKKUK 3:17-19
Every day in our country about half the people are happy and half are unhappy. We have a President who is elected to lead us. It is the great social experiment called, "America." For the church, as far as our walk goes nothing changes no matter who the President is or nothing should change. We still need to be sharing the Gospel. We need to continue to minister to the poor, the widows, the orphans. We still need to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We need to continue to love one another so the world knows we are Christ's disciples. Our call in Christ Jesus is not determined by who sits in the White House...whether they are our choice or not.
It is today and every day that our faith is revealed. We chose how we will walk and whether we let life and circumstances steal or joy...or even if we let life and circumstances be our joy. Either way we would not be placing our faith and trust in the Lord. Seasons change, leaders change, situations and circumstances change, but the Lord is our constant! Our God is immutable, He does not change and He is not altered by the affairs of man, but He orders them. Whoever is our President they will disappoint you and me, I guarantee it...but the Lord will never disappoint! My encouragement to everyone today and everyday is to walk in Jesus and keep your eyes and faith toward Him. Ultimately, it matters not who sits in the White House or in any seat of power. We have been called to pray for all those who sit in the position of President and lead over us.
Please share your thoughts.
