NOVEMBER 17 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 27:1
On this earth we are only promised today. We are told not to boast about tomorrow as if it is guaranteed, or as a means to continually put off what the Lord has called us to today. There will never be another today...all the people of your today will never be the same again. The opportunities of today will never be there in the same way again. The Lord has given us today, with all it holds, to be what He has called us to be in Him. Today is the day you and I do what is needed to be done.
Today we love those who need our love. Today we minister into the lives of those the Lord brings into our lives. Today we give what we can give. Today we share the Gospel with whomever we can share the Gospel. Today we make right any wrongs that we have committed. Today we forgive and seek forgiveness. Today we thank God for the great blessings He has poured into our life. Today we stay away from useless arguments and bickering that can easily consume our minds and time. Today we don't always have to be right, but in everything recognize that Jesus is right, regardless of what the world says. Today we trust the Holy Spirit to lead and guide, we rest in Him, we walk in His power and we rejoice in the great work He is doing. Today is God's gift to us...Carpe Diem! "This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!"
Please share your thoughts.
