NOVEMBER 13, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

NOVEMBER 13 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthians 3:12-18

There is a miracle happening in you right now if you are a child of God. God is at work in you performing the miracle of transformation. He is making you daily like His Son, Jesus. Everything we have as believers is because of Christ. We belong to God because of Jesus. We are saved because of Jesus. Our sins are eternally forgiven because of Jesus. We are the very children of God because of Jesus. We have eternal life because of Jesus. And if those things were not enough, God is working in us to transform us into the image of His Son.

This is God's eternal plan for those who belong to Him. This one thing is true not only for a special few Christians, but for everyone who believes on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a work of God, just as the initial act of salvation is a work of God. The word used many times for this is sanctification. It is the ongoing process of setting us apart, making us holy in all areas of our lives, making us like Jesus. At the moment you trusted Jesus as Savior, you were saved, your standing was in Christ Jesus and that position in Him can never change. Also at the point of salvation, you received the Holy Spirit, who began the transforming process (sanctification) in order that your walk would look like who you are already were in Christ Jesus. The Lord does this in all His children, in fact He has predestined this to be so...He has predestined that all we who are His shall be transformed into the image of His Son. What a great God we have...He receives us just as we are, but He never leaves us that way...He works in us His wonderful transforming work!
