NOVEMBER 13 READING…EZEKIEL 37 & ACTS 2
Can dry bones live? Can that which has no life, have life once again? Is there any hope for a spiritually dead world that is headed for hell? The answer is YES! Our God is able to raise the dead. In Ezekiel God gives the prophet a vision of a valley of dry bones. God acts upon these dry bones and they start to come to life…but they are not fully alive until the Spirit breaths life into them. When that happens they become a great Army. This prophecy concerns Israel and Judah, and God’s promise that they would be one great nation again, we are still waiting on the fulfillment. This also illustrates what God always does when He touches someone…he gives them both life and His powerful presence. In Acts we read of the life of God being brought to the spiritually weak and the spiritually dead. The Holy Spirit comes and Peter is empowered to speak boldly. Thousand are brought to spiritual life, and the church begins to grow. The Spirit of God within the church begins to change their lives, and use them to touch the world as the great Army of God. What God did then…He can do now. He continues to bring life to the spiritually dead, and strength to the spiritually weak.
