MAY 24 READING…1 SAMUEL 25-26 & PSALM 7
Don’t worry about the wicked…they are in God’s hands. Now, when I say this, I am not saying to not stand against the wicked. I am not saying don’t speak against the wicked. I am not saying don’t identify the wicked. What I am saying is that the Scripture teaches that ultimately God will punish the wicked. I know sometimes we wonder when this is going to happen. Do not worry, God is not mocked, and though the wicked seem to prosper, it is only for a season. Judgment is coming on all who reject and hate God, and upon those who seek to destroy God’s people. David was put upon by a wicked man named Nabal…and God brought His judgment upon Nabal. Saul continued to do evil to David, while David did what was right before God, and toward Saul. Ultimately, Saul would be judged by God. In Psalm David states great truths…”God is my salvation”…”I will put my trust in the Lord.” The Lord will judge the wicked according to their deeds, and according to His righteousness. Though we stand against all that is wicked, and against those who put forth their wickedness…ultimately, we trust fully in God to make all things right. Stand up my brothers and sisters…but always stand up in the Lord!
