MARCH 4 READING…NUMBERS 3-4 & PSALM 138
The theme of today’s reading is the servants of the Lord in the house of the Lord. Moses gives instructions for Aaron and his sons…this would be the house of the high priest. Then he gives instructions for the other Levites concerning their duties in the tabernacle, that would carry over to the temple, once it was completed. It all starts with a census of the tribe of Levi, in order that they would have enough men for the assigned duties. The first born son would hold a special place of service from each family of the Levite tribe. The psalmist proclaims the glory of God, and the blessings of those who serve Him in His temple. We do have a glorious God…and it is always a blessing and privilege to serve Him. I pray each of you reading this are serving God in His ministry that He has given you.
