MARCH 17 READING…NUMBERS 25 & JOHN 7
Today’s theme is that rejection is inevitable…in Numbers, God is rejected by His own people Israel for Baal…in John, Jesus is rejected by His own family and the religious leaders. None of these rejections changed who God or Jesus are. The rejection did not make them less God, or less of a Savior. If the whole world rejects God and Jesus…they remain who they eternally are. They do not need the acceptance of mankind to validate who they are. The same is true for us. It is important that we know who we are…or more importantly whose we are! We have to realize that we are going to be rejected, sometimes by people we care about deeply. This is not to say that the rejection does not hurt, it does. But, we must follow God, and the rejection by others because of this is their choice…and sadly, their loss. God and Jesus clearly understand how we feel when we are rejected…for they too have been rejected.
Please share your thoughts.
