JUNE 9, 2022 ~ 52 WEEKS THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT
JUNE 9 READING…ACTS 25
The Lord continues to put Paul in a place where he can share the Gospel with the elite leaders of both Rome and Israel. He is brought before Festus. Festus wanted to please the Jewish religious leaders and send Paul back to Jerusalem, but Paul being a Roman citizen appealed to Caesar…so that is where Festus would send him. King Agrippa made a journey to Caesarea and wanted to hear Paul, so Festus made it possible. Festus told Agrippa that there was nothing that Paul had done that deserved punishment, but that he wanted Agrippa to hear him and judge for himself. We never know what God is doing in our lives to make sure His Gospel is shared. We need to remember to stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit and not let difficult circumstances cause us to shut down in depression…every circumstance needs to be seen as an opportunity for Jesus to be shared.
Please share your thoughts from today’s reading.
