JUNE 26 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: ACTS 4:14-21

The Scripture tells us that without a preacher there is no way for the people to know of the gospel. Paul said this in the 10th chapter of the book of Romans and unfortunately many believe this states that the job of sharing belongs to paid clergy. What this passage is actually saying is that without those who will openly proclaim the gospel, there is no way for people to know about Jesus. The big question is who is called to proclaim the gospel. The answer....every born-again child of God. We are each called to share the good news of Jesus to all people everywhere. Sharing the gospel is not a special calling only for a few...it is the universal calling to all who know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

As we share, we need to be prayed up and walking in the Holy Spirit, trusting that He is working not only in our lives, but in the lives of people that He is leading us to share with. Many people get caught up on the methodology of sharing, saying it must be done a certain way...I believe that approach actually hinders many from sharing...in each occasion we need to be lead by the Holy Spirit as to how we share and what we say. What is important is that we share, unashamedly, the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. And remember the results belong to Him.
