JUNE 22, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

JUNE 22 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: TITUS 1:1-3

I hear all the time from those who say that the Bible is just a book. Many of these spend a lot of their time trying to pick apart the Bible...trying to show how it is not really inspired by God...trying to show that it can't really be trusted. Often these people will quote other so called "experts"...as if by quoting the name of a famous reprobate actually holds any valid authority. They don't realize (or maybe they do) that THE expert in challenging the truth and authority of God's Word is a liar and deceiver and has been doing it from the beginning when he said, "Did God really say..." These who spend all their time attacking, lying about and leading people astray concerning the Scripture are just like their father, the Devil!

The truth is that, "The heavens and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will stand forever." It is impossible for God to lie...to be mistaken...to be ill informed...or to miss something. He is perfect and His Word which comes from Him is perfect. I had someone tell me yesterday that the Bible is an outdated text, so it no longer needs to be followed, because we have grown past the need for it. The Holy Scripture is not outdated, it is undated! It speaks eternal truth to all generations; it is our objective source of truth that comes from our omniscient Creator. Neither He nor the Scripture change to fit the societal mores...they establish them and when a people reject what the Scripture says, they place themselves in eternal peril.
