JUNE 11 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: 1 JOHN 5:11-13
Life is a gift from God, and it is always precious. Today, as I think about the gift of life that God bless our family with 40 years ago, when our daughter Shiloh was born and that in she now has her own eight-year-old baby girl. It reminds me of God’s wonderful gift. But the years spent on this planet in these bodies are so small in comparison to eternity. We were not created only for the here and now, but we were created by God for eternity with Him. And when we put off this fleshly garment the promise for those, who belong to God through a relationship with Jesus, will not enter into death, but into eternal life. That is our hope...that is our promise.
I have had people ask me when we get to heaven, do I think we will recognize loved ones that have gone on before and those who will come after. My response is, of course we will. We are not moving into death, but into life and we will know and be known as never before. We now, "see through a mirror dimly," but then, everything will be completely crystal clear. Jesus is the way to this eternal life...and it is as simple as putting your trust in Him as your personal Savior. If you have not and would like to talk to somebody about having eternal life...I would sure like to talk with you.
Please share your thoughts.
