JUNE 11, 2024 ~ A WALK THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT

JUNE 11 READING…ACTS 28

God is the God of the unexpected. He does things in a supernatural way…for that is His nature. He is not man, so why should we expect Him to do things the way that mankind does? It is just like the Lord to take one of His servants to an unknown place in the middle of nowhere and the result be a revival. Malta was blessed to see at least two miracles of God…Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake, and it had no effect…and the Lord used Paul to bring healing to a prominent member of the Maltese people. After several months Paul finally makes it to Rome. He is greeted by the believers there and was opposed by the Jewish religious leaders. This certainly was nothing new for Paul…yet he is a great example of one who was willing to stand for Christ regardless of the situation or circumstances. Paul again used this opportunity to preach the Gospel of Jesus…like everywhere else, some believed and some walked away in disbelief. This was also a huge turning point in the development of the church. As the Jews mostly rejected the Gospel, it began to spread like wildfire among the Gentiles. Pray to God that we would stand in our day…that we would not be intimidated by opposition, nor discouraged by situations or circumstances. Acts ends with chapter 28…and we move are moving from the age of the Apostles to the age of the church. Let’s be the church!
