FEBRUARY 9 DEVOTION BIBLE READING: ROMANS 8:1-11
As born-again believers we are IN CHRIST! The Scripture says that there is "no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." Though we are fallible humans who are still able and sometimes too willing to sin, there is no judgment toward us. If you are IN CHRIST it means that He has suffered for your sins once and for all. The judgment has taken place at Calvary for those who are IN CHRIST! Jesus faced our judgment...He paid the price for our sin...His sacrifice was accepted by the Father. So there no longer remains a judgment for those who have trusted Him. It is the wonder of wonders what the Lord as done for us. Our minds cannot comprehend what took place on that cross, but what is clear is that He took our place! In doing this He has moved we who believe from the place of judgment and condemnation and has placed us IN CHRIST.
IN CHRIST we are fully accepted of God. IN CHRIST we experience the full forgiveness of God. IN CHRIST we are made new creatures. IN CHRIST we have been adopted into the family of God. IN CHRIST we get to call God ABBA. IN CHRIST we are promised the abundant life here on earth and heaven in eternity. IN CHRIST we are free from the power of sin and one day we will be free from the presence of sin. IN CHRIST we get to walk in a wonderful relationship with our Heavenly Father. IN CHRIST death has no power, eternal life is our gift. IN CHRIST we get to love all, even the unlovable. IN CHRIST we get to forgive all, even the unforgivable. IN CHRIST we get to have an enormous family of fellow believers. Hope you’re getting the picture, because I could go on and on...there is so much we have IN CHRIST. Today, walk as who you are IN CHRIST and see Him do great things through you!
