DECEMBER 30 READING…ISAIAH 65-66 & REVELATION 21-22
Isaiah reminds us that God is not restricted to heaven or earth, so how could a building hold Him? Our majestic God takes note of a humble heart…He promises to be responsive to such a heart. Many will hate us for following the Lord…but in eternity all that is going to matter is that believe and follow the Lord. Isaiah closes with the promise of the new heaven and new earth. Revelation tells us that God will make all things new…nothing that has been touched by sin will remain. There will be a new heaven and a new earth, for both have been impacted by sin. Heaven by the sin of Satan and the fallen angels, and earth by the sin of mankind. God will make everything right, and wipe away every tear from our eyes. There will be no regret…no recounting failures…no eternal sadness for those who did not make it to heaven. The Lord will wipe away all hurts, pains, and disappointments. There will be no more sickness, death, or saying goodbye. There will be no more sin…but we will live in the perfection of the presence of God. It will not be boring, nor will we have a need of anything. No broken relationships will remain in heaven…but we will perfectly relate to God and to one another. We are instructed to continue to call people to come and put their faith in Jesus, who is the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the End…He is the Son of David, the Bright and Morning Star. Please if you are reading this…don’t miss heaven for the world!
