DECEMBER 26 READING…REVELATION 18
This chapter tells us of the fall of the end times world system. It will be a godless system, built upon the premise that mankind does not need God. Like anything without God it is doomed to utter failure. The name give to this Antichrist system is “Babylon”…and as great as it perceives itself to be, it shall fall. She is filled with every foul spirit imaginable, and is the dwelling place of demons. The demonic is unbridled in this system. God’s patience comes to an end, and He is going to pour out His judgment on this godless system. Her judgment will both sudden and devastating.
The world will mourn for Babylon, for they had put their trust in her. Everything that Antichrist has set up through his deception of humanity will come to a halt. No more buying, selling, or trading. The merchants who trusted in Babylon will stand back in fear, mourning for the devastation of it all. She has been found guilty of the blood of the Lord’s prophets and saints, and so her judgment will be great and final.
