DECEMBER 22 READING…ISAIAH 36-38 & REVELATION 14
Sennacherib was the king of Assyria. He had defeated the northern tribes of Israel…he also defeated all the kingdoms around Judah. He never knew defeat. Now it was time for him to overthrow Judah. He brought his vast army against Jerusalem, threatened king Hezekiah, and even worse, blasphemed God. Isaiah told Hezekiah that the Lord would win the victory over Sennacherib, to stand fast, and not fear. The night before the Assyrians we’re going to attack Jerusalem the Lord killed 185,000 of them. Sennacherib went home defeated and was killed by his own sons. No blasphemer will get away with their blasphemy…then or now. In Revelation 14 the angels proclaim the destruction of Babylon, the worlds final anti-God system. One angel called all the world to give glory to God. A third angel warns anyone who takes the mark of the beast that they will face the wrath of God. The judgment of God is about to Fallon the earth, and the devastation will be the worst the has ever experienced since the dawn of time.
