DECEMBER 15 READING…ISAIAH 10-13 & REVELATION 6
The decay of a nation can be seen in what those who have the power do in regard to that which God has commanded them to be. Isaiah speaks strongly against those who would destroy a nation through making laws that are ungodly, and benefit them…those who design tragedies that destroy others…those who rob the needy, mistreat the poor and the widows, and abuse the orphans. God will judge such a nation and it shall be destroyed. This was Judah 700 years before Christ, this is America today. God abhors arrogance and pride. We are not to be totally destroyed, but God has promised a day of hope, for the Offspring of Jesse, Jesus, will come and establish His kingdom..a kingdom of perfect peace, justice, and righteousness. Even the animals will be changed in the kingdom. But the Lord will not allow anything that is wicked or corrupt to enter in. In Revelation 6, the Lord begins breaking the seals on the scroll of God’s judgments…only Jesus is worthy to do this, and it also shows that nothing can happen until the Lord says so. The first seal brings Antichrist…the second, war…the third, famine…the fourth brings pestilence and death…the fifth, reveals the martyrs of God awaiting their day…and the sixth, the cosmos comes unglued. Nothing can happen until the seals are broken, but when the seals are broken, nothing can stop what’s going to happen. I hope you are ready…I hope you trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
