DECEMBER 11 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: PSALM 55:20-23

Every born again Christian has placed their eternity in God's hands and we find great comfort and security in that. Our biggest problem it seems is not eternity, but today and tomorrow. We need to trust the Lord, with whom we have entrusted our eternity, with our everyday. Worry robs us of so much. It takes our peace of mind. It makes it hard to function and it steals our joy. God is the God of eternity and that means He is the God of everything, including our today's and tomorrow's.

Jesus taught us how to trust in God. As He walked on His journey here in this world, He completely trusted God for all things. He reminded us that we need not worry, because our Heavenly Father knows what we need, even before we ask for it. He told us how our Heavenly Father takes care of both the sparrows and the flowers, and that He will also take care of us. With the promise of our Father being there and taking care of us, we really have nothing to worry about. We need to remind ourselves that worry never accomplishes anything. We are told in the Scripture, "Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you." He really does and not just in the big things, but in the everyday things of life. He genuinely cares what is going on in our lives and if we will let Him, He will provide all we need in every circumstance–He promises. This week give it all to Him, and see how He provides.
