APRIL 8 READING…DEUTERONOMY 19-20 & PSALM 128 & PROVERBS 8
Today’s we are reminded in our reading that God’s ways are the best way…they really should be our only way. The Lord took complete care of His people Israel…sadly, they chose to go their own way. The Lord provided for those who accidentally killed another through the cities of refuge. These were not a place for the guilty to hide, but those who by accident took another’s life. The Lord gave the requirements for witnesses, and even instructed His people on the principles of warfare. In Psalms we are told that blessings come as we walk in the way of the Lord. We bring much of the trouble we have in our lives as we decide to go our own way. We are once again called to walk in the way of the Lord, and experience His blessings in our lives. Then in Proverbs we are told to both seek and walk in the wisdom of the Lord. The way of the Lord is wisdom, and wisdom is another way to define God’s ways.
