APRIL 13, 2025 ~ FROM A PASTOR'S HEART

APRIL 13 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING:  PSALM 2

The best political systems and leaders can never do for this world what needs to be done. They can't bring real peace. They can't bring economic security. They can't assure the people of honest government, fair laws and just rulings. By our nature we humans lose something when we get into power. There have been those who have served in our government who have honestly tried to do what is right for the people. But in each case, they fell short of their goal, because they were incapable due to their own human limitations and failings. There have also been many times when corrupt people have taken the offices of power to use and misuse the people for their own personal gain and ungodly agenda. Such is the nature of man-made governmental systems.

One day though this is all going to change. The world will be led by the perfect leader. He will be righteous in all His ways. He will be just in all His judgments. He will have complete, godly control, eliminating the corruption that is in our human governmental systems. Talk about healthcare…think about someone dying at the age of 100 being seen as an unusual thing, for they died too young. Talk about peace...imagine a world where there is no more racial, social economic or geopolitical strife. How about clarity of what is true and right; how about a system that is based upon truth and administers in truth. This and so much more is coming in the days ahead. Yes, there is the One who is coming. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is Holy and righteous. He is just and good. He is the Prince of Peace. He is able to have all the government that mankind needs rest upon His shoulders. His rule will not be for just a season, but it shall have no end. There shall be no corruption. There shall be no partisanship. His decrees will be just and good and the people in His Kingdom will live in peace, in health and in prosperity. Who is this King...who is this righteous One...who is this honest and trustworthy leader? It is Jesus, the Son of God!
