SEPTEMBER 16 DEVOTIONAL BIBLE READING: Acts 22:12-16
Jesus tells us that "night is coming when no one can work.” There has always been 24 hours in a day, but there will not always be those days. The Lord has given us a certain amount of time on this earth. He has also given this earth a certain amount of time. When that time for us is gone, it's gone. When it’s time for earth to be gone, it will be gone. No more day and no more opportunity. This is our time, proved by God putting us here; we need to be busy about the Lord's work.
Life itself is a gift from God and each day holds opportunity to share His love and message of salvation. It's not like everything has to be programmed for us to do it. We should be involved in Christ's ministry everyday and everywhere. God has placed us where He has us; He has His people all over the world, in order that we might shine the light of His truth in this dark world. Let's not miss the opportunity of the days God has appointed for us...let's be at work while we still have daylight, for the night comes when no one can work.
