JUNE 28, 2022 ~ 52 WEEKS THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT

JUNE 28 READING…ROMANS 10

Paul once again reveals his heart for his fellow Israelites…he wants them to know their Messiah, Jesus. They were a people of the word, in that God had given them the law and the prophets, but they missed the God who gave them these wonderful gifts. They clearly were ignorant of God’s righteousness, believing that their own righteousness made them acceptable to God, but they could not see that the only righteousness that God accepts is that which equals His…which does not exist. We need to realize that no human can reach the place of personal perfect righteousness. We must come to the Lord and receive His righteousness through His Son.

Paul tells us how to do this, we must confess with our words the Lord Jesus Christ, that is that Jesus is the Lord. We also must believe (completely trust) in our heart (our innermost being) that God has raised Jesus from the dead, and we will have salvation. If we genuinely believe, meaning completely trust in, we will be saved. How do we get there? We call out to Him…He is never far away. For we who are believers we must be sharing this good news with the lost world around us. For if there is no one to share…they cannot possibly hear the good news, nor know that Jesus is the way to be made right with God. They must hear in order to faith, and that faith brings us to God as we respond to His call to us.

Please share your thoughts from today’s reading.
